Motus Locus (formerly True North Architectural Design) is owned and operated by David Hassing, with over 20 years of high-end design experience on a variety of projects including restaurants, bars, hotels, retail environments, as well as residential projects from the elegant to the outrageous.

In that time David has worked in architectural offices large and small, including world renowned Tony Chi & Associates, Rockwell Group, Zeff Design, and Creme, and has developed key design strategies with each step in his career. With leading-edge design practices and a clear understanding of how things are built, Motus Locus focuses on creating functional, inviting spaces with high-impact design at a reasonable cost, ensuring owner satisfaction and an exciting end-user experience.

Motus Locus offices have now set up shop both in Traverse City, Michigan as well as Saint Paul, Minnesota, and have the added benefits of low overhead and a flexible team of talented associates ready to take on projects of any type or size.
